Trails are located between 4 to 35 miles from the center of town and most are accessibile without trailering. The trails range from mostly groomed to loose gravel and mild to wild.

You are invited to join us for our Annual ROAR event and ride the trails with us. This event is a great opportunity to experience more trails that Rangely has to offer.

Trail Description: The trail includes groomed graveled roads, eroded areas with some washed out areas of the trail.

Directions to Trailhead: Trailer on CR23 to Trailhead - Apx. 19 mi. to parking area on CR23.

Route: Start at CR116 -> CR109 -> BLM1064 -> BLM1210 -> BLM1063 -> BLM1062 -> BLM1063 -> BLM1210 -> CR116.

The Ride: If you want a chance to see wild horses, this is the ride for you! Enjoy a mountain ride that features great views of the valley. There was a wildfire on Texas Mountain a few years ago, leaving behind the regenerated landscape. Upon dropping down into Oil Springs there is a steep section of trail. Riders will experience a 40 Mile ride that requires trailering 19 miles to the parking area at County Road 23.

Trail Description: The trail includes groomed graveled roads, with some rocky sections and eroded terrain.

Directions to Trailhead: Trailer on HWY 139 to Trailhead - Apx. 22 mi. to parking area at Rope Canyon.

Route: Start at BLM1205, BLM1244, BLM1245, BLM1246, BLM1246,CR27, BLM1250, BLM1228, CR128, CR27, BLM1242, BLM1245, BLM1244, BLM1205.

The Ride: This ride includes high desert and mountains terrain. Riders will experience a 48-mile ride that requires trailering 22 miles to the parking area at Rope Canyon. Enjoy the spectacular views from Brushy Point and ride along the Cathedral Bluffs. Travel through the switchbacks and keep your eyes peeled for evidence of the Freemont Ute cultures.

Trail Description: The trail includes groomed graveled roads, loose dirt, rock and eroded areas with some washed out area of trail.

Direction to Trailshead: No Trailering - Apx. 19 mi. to parking area at CR 23.

Route: Start at CR 116, CR 109. BLM1064, BLM1210, BLM1063, BLM1062, BLM1063, BLM1210, CR 116.

The Ride: This ride features one of the most impressive scenic overlooks of the Rangely area. This ride includes part of the recent Dead Dog Fire that occurred in Rangely spring of 2017. Enjoy slick rock riding, dry creek crossings and riding up the creek bottom. Riders will experience a 25-mile ride.

Trail Description: This trail is mostly two track, off camber with rocky faces and ledges along with groomed graveled roads. Expect to have washed out sections of trail, deep ruts and stream crossings.

Direction to Trailshead: No Trailering.

Route:Start at CR104, BLM1040, BLM1042, CR104

The Ride: Enjoy steep draws, tight turns and narrow trails durning this ride. Ride through the canyon and pop up on the ridge to experien e beautiful vistas from the top of Big Ridge. Riders will experience a 30 mile ride that leaves from Rangely.
